Adoption Facilitating Illegal in California 12/31/2023

Adoption Facilitators in California are to cease operations.

California state law has eliminated adoption facilitating and all state registered adoption facilitators are ordered to cease operations as of 12/31/2023. Chosen Parents Adoptions Inc. is NOT a facilitator, but rather an attorney and referral service so we will not be affected by this new legislation.
If you have hired an adoption facilitator in the state of California it is important that you reach out to them to understand how this new legislation will affect you and your agreement.
Meanwhile, please keep in mind that if you have not retained an adoption professional yet that many states are passing laws that prohibit adoption facilitating and consider that risk when moving forward. Chosen Parents Adoptions always recommends that you partner with an adoption consultant rather than a  facilitator. There is a list of consultants on our website chosenparents.com
